Kurt Graham

I first introduced Kurt to Hanshi McCarthy in 1992. Since then Kurt has become Koryu Uchinadi's head instructor.

Based in New Zealand, Kurt often travels and has given seminars and demonstrations all over the world.

Kurt holds a 7th Dan in Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo-jutsu and a Kyoshi license obtained in Japan.

Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo-jutsu was established by Dr Patrick McCarthy a 5th generation student of Uchinadi. Hanshi McCarthy is an 8th Dan and recognised martial arts historian, author and founder of The International Ryukyu Karate-jutsu Research Society.

Hanshi McCarthy states - "Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo-jutsu is a modern interpretation of Okinawa's historic fighting arts: Tegumi, Tigwa, Torite, Buki-gwa & Kata. A completely systematized, and coherent method of learning/teaching, delivered in a traditional atmosphere, honouring both the culture from which it comes and the pioneers who forged its practice, Koryu Uchinadi is both and art and a science."
